Our VFW post has volunteered to help keep US Highway 1 clean from Barnes Blvd to Eyster Blvd.    This is approximately a 3 mile stretch that runs in front of our post.  October 30th was our first clean up.  We had approximately 12 volunteers show up at 8 AM that morning.  It took us approximately two hours to finish our task.  The DOT furnished us all bright orange reflective vest to wear along with trash bags.  We have committed to doing this once a quarter.  There are signs posted on Highway 1 at Barnes and Eyster indicating our VFW Post #4534 has volunteered to help keep it clean.  Thank you to all our volunteers that helped in our efforts that morning.  We will be posting our next clean up date sometime next quarter and will again be looking for volunteers.
