Greetings Rocket Post,
It is
becoming a habit to start this off every week with a positive attitude and extremely
thankful for our volunteers that keep the Rocket Post going. Between the
volunteers in the kitchen, on the grill, behind the bar, to the little details
like cleaning a mess when they see it, taking out trash when it is full and
getting ice for behind the bar. I witnessed many of you over the past few days
doing just that and that is awesome teamwork right there.
Our Auxiliary,
as you know, has been gathering up donations and money for a couple local
schools and it turned out to be a great drive. Over the past week, with so many
boxes and bags of school supplies, Kassi Lawson took it upon herself to organize
all the supplies and on Friday morning the items were delivered to some very
thankful young people. This was a truly awesome job by our Auxiliary and all of
you that donated to this drive. Thank you very much.
The "Show
Me the Money” Saturday is slowly growing and in case you did not know, we now
have it twice a month, the first and third Saturday at 1:00 PM.
It
does appear some of you did not get the word about our monthly Sunday breakfast,
made to order, by Evelyn. Mark your calendars for the second Sunday of each
month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon I guarantee you that you will not get this
breakfast anywhere in Brevard County for the price and everything is made to
order and it is awesome.
Bingo Players! 12 September will be the
start of the NFL season and as you all remember, the screen room and the
canteen will have the games on. If you choose to play bingo in the canteen
please remember you will need to use the screens in the canteen because the
speakers will be off. If you wish to hear the numbers please play in the hall.
Football
fans, as always this is a first come, first serve and there is no reserving the
screens for your team. Also reminder that the bar tender will not reserve any
of the screens for anyone. If you want to see your favorite team on the big
screen I suggest getting there when the door opens. This applies in the screen
room as well, there are two televisions and the first one gets the volume.
As
always, please share this information with other members that do not check
Facebook or the Post Web Page. I am still hearing from members that say they
did not know what was going on at the Post.
