Greetings Rocket Post,
We had another great week at the Rocket
Post. Want to say a big thank you to those that volunteered a lot of time
preparing for the St Patty’s dinner on Friday. It certainly was enjoyed by many
and we sold out of the corned beef before 7:00 PM.
Over the weekend we celebrated Rod
Sieverts Life, we had a great turn out for a wonderful person who was loved and
respected by many. It was a pleasure to meet some of the family Friday night at
dinner. I do hope you all had a good day and I hope we met your expectations at
the Rocket Post.
This coming Saturday 27 March at 11:00 am
-1:30 PM we will be celebrating another life of a wonderful person named
Josephine C. Pachulski, she lived 93 wonderful years. Come celebrate with
Katherine and Craig Hartigh and their family as we celebrate Josephine’s life.
Couple things coming up in the near
future, we always want our volunteers to be safe so we are purchasing some more
mats for the kitchen to avoid any potential for slipping. We are looking at 8
new chairs for the screen room with a low backrest. For those of you familiar with
the Viera East Golf course, they are building a memorial and we are purchasing a
bench that will be around the memorial that will have our VFW logo and our Post
number on it. I have been asked to bring back karaoke on Saturdays. As of now
we are looking at the third Saturday of April and this will be in the canteen
from 7 to 10 PM. Depending how this works out we could see this every Saturday
in the near future.
This Thursday some of us are heading up to
Otter Springs for our annual camping trip. This is where Camp Valor is being

Next month on 11 April we have the buffet
breakfast for the Memorial Wall Escort, more details to come on that. Just like
in the past we invite you all and your guests for an awesome breakfast and then
sit out by US 1 for the police escort of the memorial wall of our heroes. I
will update this weekly.
