Greetings Rocket Post,
Seems every week I am saying how great the
past week was, this is a great thing to write about. Seeing the esprit de corps
amongst our members is so motivating and I also think it is contagious. Many of
us worked together to fix up the Auxiliary office and yesterday we had 4
volunteers in the kitchen for the burgers and dogs. I hope this continues
because our Sundays are getting busier by the week.
Seems the word is getting out about Bingo
because last Thursday was the best so far, almost as good as our Sundays have
become. It was nice seeing those of you that have not been out in a while and I
hope the rest of you can start coming out as well.
Clearly the Food Shoot is liked by many;
this past Saturday the Auxiliary had a great turn out and we will be discussing
having a second Food Shoot at our meeting next Wednesday.
Don’t forget Sunday 14 March you need to
Spring ahead! That’s right, when you get up Sunday morning or before you go to
bed Saturday night be sure to put your clocks 1 hour ahead. We will now have
daylight later in the evenings and that is fantastic because we can get more
work done.
Keep your eyes on the calendar; we have a
lot coming up in the next few weeks. This coming Sunday 14 March we have Breakfast
made to order from 8:00 AM thru 11:00 AM. We then have St Patrick’s Day on
Wednesday 17 March and we will be celebrating that on Friday the 19thwith our St. Patrick’s Dinner starting at 5:00 PM. Next month on 11 April we have
the buffet breakfast for the Memorial Wall Escort, more details to come on
that. Just like in the past we invite you all and your guests for an awesome
breakfast and then sit out by US 1 for the police escort of the memorial wall
of our heroes. I will update this weekly.
