Good Day Everyone,

Another week in the books; In case some of you did not realize it, it is getting hot outside. Be sure to stay hydrated in this humidity and heat, even if you think you’re not thirsty. Wise man once said, when you feel thirsty it is already too late. Keep an eye on each other, especially if you work outside. Key note, coffee, tea and beer do not hydrate you! I know at least one of you will say there’s water in each. Not true, get electrolytes and stay healthy.

It is June everyone and it is that time again for us to start thinking about the families we can help during the holidays. I have spoken with the commander and it looks like we will start our drive again next Friday 14 June 2019. Unlike last year we will not set a goal because at the end of the day it does not matter what we raise, our goal is to help as many families as possible. One twist to this year’s drive for veteran families is we will deliver to them. Last year we tried something different and it was not personable enough. It is our opinion that we should deliver to their doorstep and focus on them as an individual family and not as a group. More details to come. For starters we will do the 50/50 at 7:10 PM each Friday where half goes to the winner and half goes to the Christmas fund. There will be a second place drawing for a Rocket Post Dinner and there will be a third place drawing for a free drink of your choice.

For all of you casino/ boat loving people! See the bartender and get yourself signed up for the Casino Cruise on 27 July. You cannot beat this price and this includes transportation from and to the Post plus your meal on the ship as well as 20 dollars of play on the machines. You cannot go wrong on this cruise and it looks like the band for this particular cruise is a Beatles cover Band and word is they are pretty good. That itself would make the trip worth it, even if you do not gamble.

We are trying something new on the 4thWednesday of the month. We are going to try "GAME NIGHT” it is exactly how it sounds. This could be cards, Left Right Center, Chutes and Ladders, Checkers, Chess, you name it, and it could be anything you want. Keep your eyes open for updates and plan on enjoying the 4th Wednesday with us. The commander found what looks to be a very fun addition to the Shuffleboard table and it is like bowling. Once the game arrives we will set it up and try it out. Hope everyone likes it.

Remember to drop your quarter for the daily drawing as well as the dollar for the weekly drawing; there have been a lot of days with "no Winner”. Please use our suggestion box for all comments, this is the only way we can get the information we need to improve our post and attempt to make everybody happy.
