Greetings Rocket Post,
Man
is it getting hot out there! I don’t know about the rest of you but I find
myself soaked after a few minutes in this heat and humidity. Water! You have
got to stay hydrated. There was a conversation this weekend and I can tell you
all that wine, coffee and tea do not hydrate you. Yes we laughed about it but
take care of each other and make each other drink water and get electrolytes
daily.
The
Rocket Auxiliary is collecting school supplies so if you would like to donate
please drop by the post and place the items in the box in the canteen. Here are
some of the items needed for the Anderson Elementary school. Crayons, Blunt
Scissors, Glue Sticks, Folders, Notebook Paper, Copy Paper, Colored paper,
Pencils, Eraser’s, Index Cards, Expo markers, Paper Towels, Tissues, Clorox/Lysol
Wipes, Hand Sanitizer, Ziploc Bags and Baby Wipes. If you wish to make a
monetary donation call or text Kassi Lawson at 321-960-9341
Do we have any card players in the post that
would be interested is your very own card table? John Bailey donated his card
tables to the post and we do not use them and they are way too nice to be left in
the shed outside. If you would like or if you know someone that would
appreciate them, please let me know within the next two weeks. After that we
will donate them to the Thrift store.
In
the next few weeks you will see some work being done around the post. We are
getting a new roof on the post as well as the storage sheds. The plan is to
have all the debris removed out back so there should be no interference with
post business. At this time there is no plan to close the post during this
work.
This
Friday do not miss out on an awesome Commanders Choice Dinner made by a real
Italian Chef.
