Greetings Rocket Post,

     Another great week at the Rocket and things are certainly looking up. Thursday night entertainment was big hit and Aaron stayed pretty busy in the kitchen. Friday night steak and pork chops were pretty good and Sunday Carl and Sandi looked pretty busy on that grill and in the kitchen. I was very happy to see so many of you over the weekend. Big Thank You to Digger for keeping the post clean every day and to the canteen associates who stay on top of cleaning as they go.

     Quick reminder, the Auxiliary has a Fall basket that will be going to a lucky winner this Thursday night at 7:00 PM. Be sure to get your 8 tickets for $5.00 this week and remember, you do not have to be present to win. This money is going to a great cause "Heroes on the Water”. If you are not familiar with how they help vets I ask you to speak to Darryl Benton, AKA Bones.

     All general Members, our monthly meeting is this Wednesday at 7:00 PM and I hope you can make it.

          Important message about Thanksgiving Day; we will serve from noon to 2:00 PM and then we will clean and serve again at 2:30 PM thru 4:30 PM. We will have the hall, the canteen and the screen room and all plates will be served to order. I know in the past we had it set up like a buffet but in keeping with better sanitation we will ask you to select what you would like and we will serve it to you, similar to Friday night dinners. I will put the menu below. As always our members who dine at the post eat for free, this includes one guest for free. Additional guests we ask for a $5.00 donation and for all "carry out” orders we ask for a $5.00 donation. We already have the volunteers who will do the preparation and for that I say a huge Thank you. The Rockledge High School Key Club has volunteered to handle the serving and clean up for our Thanksgiving dinner. This club promotes leadership as well as community service. We have the sign-up sheets in the canteen so please get signed up for one of the two servings and let us know how many guests you will have. If you can’t make it to the post please call the canteen associate so we can keep track of how many guests we will have. Thank you.      The evening of Thanksgiving, 26 November, there will not be tacos or entertainment. Also Friday the 27^th there will not be a dinner but we will have Karaoke kicking off at 7:00 PM.

     Don’t forget to sign in the daily and weekly when you visit the Post and do not miss out on the drawing the Auxiliary is having. They have a beautiful handmade American Flag. See the canteen associate for your tickets.
